Review: Wet n Wild Color Icon Eyeshadow Palette – Blue Had Me At Hello

 Hi everyone,

I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I needed a bit of a time out as there are a lot of things going on in my mind. As I’ve promised, this is the part 3 of Wet n Wild Cosmetic Haul review. First and second part you can read if you haven’t. So, let’s going on to the next one!! Shall we? ^ ^’

Product Description:

Eight dynamic, perfectly color-coordinated shades with high pigment and pearl for ultra-impact color.

Where I Bought This & Price:

Yap, Wet n Wild already entering Indonesia, but you just can  purchased this product by online only!  You cannot get a better deal than this, you’ll get 8 shadows for IDR 149.000 only.

The palette itself isn’t very big, it is handy and perfect for traveling. In the packaging, there is  include dual ended brush for eyeshadow, which is the brush quality is not very good, so I prefer using my own brush >.<.

For beginners, you don’t have to worry about how to create the eye looks because there are some instructions for use in the back of the packaging. But of course, if you’re pro already you can mix and match any which way you like.  Shades Colors:

You will receive 2 colors for brow bone, 2 colors for eyelid, 2 colors for crease and the last 2 colors for definer. That’s colors can be used to create day to night look.

Here’s a zoom up of the colors

A really bright and fun colors eyeshadow to play with! I never have blue or green eyeshadow palette and lately I’m really into colors so I really really love this one! This palette is perfect when you want a pop of color on your make up, it’s pretty wearable too. I love the green eyeshadow the most because it’s so vivid and bright, yet feminine!

Here’s the swatch colors on my hand

When I swatches on my hand, I found that the pigmentation of every shades is different, some colors I just need one swap to show off the colors and the others I need extra swap.

The texture of this eyeshadow is silky and easy to apply, it glides smooth on my eyes, though there’s still a little fall out! It doesn’t last long either, so I’ll recommend you to apply the eye primer first!

Plus (+):

– affordable price

– easy to bring along

– comes with 8 colors to create day-night look

– smooth texture

Minus (-):

– the eyeshadow may fall out a little

– the brush is useless

-the staying power of this eyeshadow are quite poor, if you don’t use primer

Final Opinion:

Overall, I can say Color Icon Eyeshadows are definitely some of the best drugstore eyeshadows you’ll find , and this palette shows the quality of each eyeshadow is not equal. Some eye shadows are more pigmented than the others. Although it’s not that pigmented compared to some really good eye shadows, but the quality is pretty fair for its price.

So, it depends on you, if you have more budget for more good quality eye shadows, go for buy another higher-end brand, but if your budget is tight, this palette maybe good enough for you.

Okay, that’s all for my post today, thanks for reading. I will always provide the best review as I can. So please stay tuned, and have a nice day^ ^.
